## Wang Liqin: Striving for More Glory at Los Angeles Olympics
Wang Liqin, chairman of the Chinese Table Tennis Association, summarized the team’s performance: “Both the women’s team and the young men’s team faced many setbacks and difficulties during the process, but in the finals, they performed at their best competitive level, demonstrating superb skills. Especially when encountering difficulties, they continued to uphold the sports spirit of never giving up and fighting tenaciously, defeating their opponents to secure the championship.”
“This World Championships has been extremely rewarding for the Chinese table tennis team,” Wang continued. “First, we prepared thoroughly for difficulties. In the men’s team final held early on May 11 Beijing time, China defeated Japan 3-0, achieving an unprecedented 12th consecutive world team title.
– **Match 1:** Liang Jingkun came from two games down to defeat Tomokazu Harimoto 3-2, securing a crucial first point for China.
– **Match 2:** Wang Chuqin rallied to beat Sora Matsushima 3-1.
– **Match 3:** Lin Shidong defeated Yukiya Uda 3-1, sealing a 3-0 overall victory.
### Women’s Team Final: China 3-2 Japan
